Working toward a more bicycle friendly community. Elm City Cycling's bike tours are always a popular part of the Festival: see the sights, explore trails and paths, and experience a piece of local history!

- Properly fitted helmets are required to ride.
- There are rides for all skill and experience levels. Check each tour listing for a difficulty level.
- Bring a bike, properly fitted helmet, water, food, and sunscreen.

East Coast Greenway South
presented with Elm City Cycling
Travel South on the East Coast Greenway to Silver Sands State Park in Milford. This section of the ECG incorporates the Vision Trail, the Harbor side trail, the Long Wharf Nature Preserve, and the Savin Rock Trail. A representative of ECG will lead the ride and provide information and background on the trails.
Bike Share New Haven: Rent, Ride, Return

Shake hands with New Haven’s Bike Share. Learn how to sign up, saddle up, and hitch up. You’ll learn key bike handling skills along the way. You may either use your own bike or Bike Share bikes which will be available at no charge.

1779 British Invasion

Retrace the steps of New Haven's defenders during the two-pronged offensive by the British. Ride to Lighthouse Point and Bradley Point, West Haven where the British landed and attempted to take our city.
Cultural Identity

Experience the New Haven Cultural Heritage Tour by bike. The tour tells the pre-1970 stories of the experiences, contributions and hardships faced in New Haven by five of the cultural and ethnic groups that have enriched our community.
Strawberry Festival / Hindinger Farm

Ride to Hindinger Farm in Hamden for the annual Strawberry Festival. Events include family hayrides, clowns, lots of food and entertainment, and of course, beautiful, delicious red juicy strawberries!
Historic Bridges of New Haven

New Haven is home to a wide range of fascinating and historic bridges. We’ll get an inside perspective of some of these often overlooked, important structures that carry our roadways and bikeways over rivers and other barriers. A great ride for dads and their loved ones.
Bloomsday Ride

Turn on your inner James Joyce with open mic poetry and storytelling. Bring your original or favorite poem/story to tell. New Haven literary backdrops add ambiance to this shared experience.
Prepare for International Make Music Day

Got rhythm? Don’t worry, every one is invited to International Make Music Day. Ride to locations throughout New Haven where music reigns, and is often free.
East Coast Greenway / Farmington Canal Trail North
presented by Elm City Cycling
Travel North from New Haven to Cheshire and learn about plans to connect the former rail trail to Northampton, MA. Visit historic Locks 12 and 14 before returning to New Haven. A representative of ECG will lead the ride and provide information and background on the trail.
