Very excited to see this ride to West Haven. I ride with my family to New Haven often. Curious as to the propesed route into West Haven. We have not found a safe route that does not cross 5 entrance/exit ramps to the highway. There is a small sandy path that goes along the 95 North entrance just after the Kimberly Ave bridge coming into New Haven from West Haven. It’s only a single track and is very loose sand so it’s not bike friendly. I have been inquiring about any plans to make that a paved/gravel path and for a guard rail to be reconfigured. Does anyone know if this is going to happen? How can we make this happen? It’s a great opportunity to safely join our two communities on bicycles.
Thanks,
