DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING

The Director of Programming provides artistic and content leadership for the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, a dynamic, adventurous performing arts and humanities festival. The successful candidate has significant experience in the performing arts and humanities (minimum of 5 years of high-level curatorial and programming experience); will be highly creative and energetic; is a champion of artists; is deeply knowledgeable about the performing arts; and is committed to community participation in the arts. The Director of Programming is responsible for conceiving, developing and implementing artistic and humanities events, both during the Festival in June and as part of the Festival’s year-round portfolio of residency, special events and community activities. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

The Community Engagement Manager is the Festival’s liaison to the community, actively seeking out relationships with the goal of engaging community members for attendance, participation, and general Festival enthusiasm. Community members may include neighborhood groups, specific cultural communities, university groups, social associations, and others. The Manager also develops and maintains relationships that are already within the Festival, such as with the Festival’s volunteer corps, interns, and fellows. MARKETING MANAGER

Working with the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Manager manages and assists with the planning, creation, and implementation of the Festival’s marketing and communications activities, and oversees a staff of marketing interns, volunteers and fellows. The Marketing Manager supports marketing of the Festival’s headline and ticketed events, and takes the lead on marketing the Festival’s additional free programs, tours, and interactive programs. The Marketing Manager will also work with other Festival departments to ensure smooth operation of marketing department needs. Read the complete position description (pdf)
