COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
Each year at the Festival there are a variety of ways that community members can experience a deeper connection with the Festival's themes, artists and scholars, and with each other.
Artists in Conversation: Before or after certain performances, the creators or performers will take part in a moderated dialogue. Festival attendees can gain insight into the artists' process and history. Question and answer sessions allow for meaningful discussions and personal connections between audience and artist.
Dig Deeper: Get an in-depth understanding of the Festival's programming and its themes though participation in multidisciplinary activities led by artists and scholars. These immersion programs may include interconnected tours, performances, workshops and lectures.
Master Classes: During the Festival, many professional artists performing at the festival will also teach master classes that are open to the public. Master classes provide a way for local artists and interested community participants to meet and work with the artists who visit New Haven.
