Durand Bernarr

With a sound that has been coined as "Gangster Musical Theatre" by Qveen Herby, Durand Bernarr is one-part Little Richard, one-part Rick James, plus a heavy dash of powerhouse vocals & witty lyrical storytelling. The result is uniquely Durand - your favorite singer’s favorite singer!  Durand  has  had  the  opportunity  to  sit  under,  collaborate,  &  learn  from  some  of  music’s  leading legends  and  contributors  such  as  Earth,  Wind  &  Fire,  Producer  Yonni  (1st  cousin  on  his  father’s side)  The  Internet,  Anderson.  Paak,  Sam  Sparro,  J*DaVeY,  Teedra  Moses,  Adam  Blackstone, Tweet,  comedian  Rickey  Smiley  &  Erykah  Badu. In  2016,  Durand  released  his  first  EP,    Sound  Check,  prompting  Billboard  to  name  him  an  "artist to  know"  and  Lena  Waithe  to  call  Durand  one  of  her  favorite  singers.  Now  in  2020,  Durand  has made  huge  waves  with  his  self-titled  album ​ DUR& , which  debuted  at  the  #1  spot  on  the  Apple Music  R&B  charts.  Featuring  collaborations  with  the  likes  of  Ari  Lennox,  KAYTRANADA,  Anna Wise,  &  bassist,  “Buddah”  Foster  Jr., DUR& is  as  playful,  witty  &  sonically  imaginative  as  it  is packed  with  infectious  hooks  and  just  plain  GOOD  singing.

Shawn Jon

Shawn Jon Is a Boston native who has learned the art of Platform Hair Art at the age of 10 years old. Shawn Jon received his cosmetology license at 18 years old and has been doing hair professionally for 17 Years. Shawn Jon is known in the world of hair from as the man who designs/owns a custom wig company, hair Magazine, in house hair products, and Boston’s #1 salon for 10 years straight! Shawn Jon is a 6 time Hair competition winner who now performs on stages and teaches around the USA the gift of platform hairstyling. On his free time he enjoys to travel, eat at great restaurants and volunteer at hair schools. He is more than hairstylist, a man that creates divine Hair artistry. 

He is located in the heart of Roxbury Boston.

Marvin Beasley

Marvin Beasley is the Owner of Connecticutz, which has been a staple in the New London county barbershops for over 30 years after his brother opened his first shop. He passed the torch on to Marvin along with the desire to give back to the community.

Alicia Thompson

Alicia Thompson is an international Theatre Arts Storyteller from Jamaica, Educator, TEDx Speaker and Playwright. She is the founder of Artistry is Ministry (AIM) Productions. Alicia has created various projects such as I Am My Hair, I Salute You Good Men and Park Therapy. Alicia is also the creator of Modesty in Motion (MIM) Achievement Awards that empowers youth toward a path of self-improvement while they set and achieve SMART goals. Her mission is to create thought provoking projects that will educate and inspire others for change. 

Corey Parker

Corey Parker is a renowned stylist with over 14+ years of experience in the beauty industry. Corey has been able to take his mother's extensive background in the beauty industry and partner it with his unmatched creativity; delivering unique/timeless styles to all of his appreciated clients. Coreyspecializes in both natural and chemical hair care, hair coloring, haircutting, extensions, locs and braiding. Corey works as an independent stylist/Owner of a private hair studio located in Derby, CT. With strong emphasis on hair care. Corey believes that healthy hair is the most important aspiration to have, and should be each of his client's hair goals. Corey Parker is also the Founder, CEO of CP Hair Care Solutions. A transformative hair care company that delivers high quality products at an affordable price for all clients of varying textures. With the help of his mother Tammy Parker they crafted an Organic group of products that would prove beneficial to all people with varying hair/scalp concerns.

Jazmi Zanders

Jazmi Zanders is the owner and operator of Jazmiup Experience Salon. With over a decade of experience, her passion as a stylist lies in providing every salon guest with a memorable experience. The desire of hair sprouted long before she became a professional. She graduated from Sherrill's University of Barber and Cosmetology in Raleigh NC after graduation she decided to return to her hometown New Haven CT, to pursue her career in hairdressing. In 2017 Jazmi launched her very own product line MYROOTS to pay homage to her family both adopted and biological who she was so fortunate to meet at the age of 18. She soon learned her love of hairdressing was hereditary in her with learning that her biological grandmother was a licensed cosmetologist. Throughout the years, Jazmi has become one of the Greater New Haven Area’s respected stylist. Salon guest are embraced, educated, and empowered after leaving  the experience.

Kimberly Williams

Kim Williams has been a licensed hairstylist for 18 years. She is the owner and operator of Mikskreations LLC, a small boutique salon suite in Milford, CT, as well as the founding owner of her product line Krown by Mikskreations Beauty Care.  Kim is a Board Certified Haircolorist and a Certified Hair Loss Practitioner. Her goal, as a licensed professional, is to first provide healthy hair care and education to her clients. She then uses her two certifications to bring together opposite sides of the cosmetology industry (medical and artistic) to teach clients how internal health care can lead to overall healthy hair and optimal artistic expression.  In addition, Kim provides hair color education for other licensed professionals,  traveling styling services, and works behind the scenes with other hairstylists for hair shows and events. Ebony Selima

Ebony Selima, the “southern girl in the North,” is a hardworking stylist in one of the hardest and most competitive industries. At the age of 7, she was taught to sew-in extensions from her oldest sister- and that’s where her love for creating styles began.  She continued doing hair throughout high school and later continued her education at Denmark Technical college where she graduated with a cosmetology degree in 2000. Ebony continued to increase her knowledge in the hair industry; she’s known for healthy hair and great cuts. Many of her clients call her “Blessed Hands” based on her ability to take hair to another level from weddings to photoshoots and more. She opened up her first salon in 2009 in South Carolina and her empire has only continued to grow. She later moved to New Haven, CT and opened Beatific Image LLC. Ebony then relaunched Salon E’Selim in 2018 and provides services like cuts, color, extensions, wigs and more. She strives to make every woman look and feel beautiful. 

Chrissy Culbreath

Chrissy C is the Owner/Stylist of Studio Couture in West Haven, Connecticut. She has 15 years of Hair Art & Styling Experience.  An innovative machine, she specializes in textured natural hair and braiding techniques, with a passion to create unique looks & add versatility to every client. Studio Couture creates exactly what the Clients envision when they sit down in the chair. It's a relaxed environment for clients & it's her pleasure to make them look & feel their best!
