After a year of national discussion around monuments and their role in the public, what historic places do we choose to keep? Meet at Dwight’s Rainbow Park for a tour that will spark conversation around what historic places we choose to keep as we move into the future, and what purpose those places serve as neighborhoods change and grow over time. Along the tour we’ll investigate preservation methods like relocating historic buildings to vacant lots, investigate the post-fire restoration efforts going into the Walter Camp Home, and end at Kensington Playground, a longtime family hangout that community members are fighting desperately to save from being sold by the city of New Haven.
