Scientist-led Tour of New Haven Museum exhibition “The Quantum Revolution: Handcrafted in New Haven”

In partnership with the Yale Quantum Institute

Join quantum scientist and New Haven Museum guest curator Florian Carle for a tour of his exhibition to discover how quantum computers were handcrafted in New Haven by generations of researchers. The exhibition features the first superconductive device to run a quantum algorithm in 2009 and a series of original drawings by New Haven visual artist Martha Lewis of the devices developed in the labs. Dr. Carle will share information and anecdotes about this new quantum technology developed just a few streets away from the museum. Attendees will each receive the exhibition companion catalog with additional drawings and stories to complete their visit.

The Yale Quantum Institute

The Yale Quantum Institute facilitates the research and teaching of quantum science on the Yale campus. YQI performs science outreach in the form of public lectures, workshops, and through its Artist-in-Residence program, welcoming local artists in its laboratories to create quantum science based artwork in collaboration with researchers and students.
