EXTENDED BY POPULAR DEMAND!
THE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF ARTS & IDEAS
ANNOUNCES
ADDITIONAL PERFORMANCE OF
JACK HITT’S
MAKING UP THE TRUTH
SATURDAY, JUNE 25 AT 1PM
Jack Hitt’s new solo show, Making Up the Truth, has been extended by popular demand!
The show, presented as part of the 16th Annual International Festival of Arts & Ideas at Long Wharf Theatre’s Stage II (222 Sargent Drive, New Haven), will play a FIFTH performance on Saturday, June 25 at 1PM.
Making Up the Truth, written and performed by Jack Hitt, and directed by Jessica Bauman, had its first performance last night, Tuesday, June 21. Performances continue tonight through Friday at 8PM and the new added performance on Saturday at 1PM.
“We’re thrilled by the overwhelming response Jack’s show received at its first performance last night and that even more of his fans will get to experience it right here in his hometown,” says Executive Director Mary Lou Aleskie.
Making Up the Truth is performed at Long Wharf Theatre’s intimate 200-seat Stage II. A limited number of tickets are available for all performances through Friday, in addition to the new block of tickets for the added Saturday performance.
In this new solo show written and performed by This American Life regular Jack Hitt, he tells extravagant, almost unbelievable, true tales-from his childhood neighbor's sex change operation, to his NYC apartment super with a deadly secret identity. Making Up the Truth weaves these and other stories together with the latest findings in contemporary brain science as Jack tries to answer the question, "Why do these things always happen to me?" What he discovers is not dry theory but another unbelievable story-this time about all of us and the world of uncanny wonders that lies just beyond our brain's notice.
Tickets for ALL performances are available now online at www.artidea.org, by phone (203) 562-5666, and at the Shubert Theater Box office at 247 College Street.
