Tiffany Jackson will perform excerpts from her one-woman-show "From the Hood to the Ivy League" that depicts her journey from the inner city to the deep south, to becoming an artist, educator, and community leader.

Singer, vocal pedagogue, and writer Dr. Tiffany Jackson was raised in New Haven, CT, where she lived in Church St. So Housing Projects for 20 years. She attended the Cooperative High School of Arts and Humanities and the Educational Center for the Arts. She earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan, a Master of Music and Artist Diploma from Yale University School of Music, Professional Studies Certificate from Manhattan School of Music, and a Doctoral Degree from the University of Connecticut.
