This week, we continue our Ideas series on the theme of Democracy: We the People, particularly timely as citizens here in New Haven and throughout the country are exercising their right to protest systemic racism. Topics include the constitutional limits of the police use of force; the challenges of affordability and discrimination in housing; and sovereignty, ancestry, and post-pandemic survival with Native American artists and leaders. Continuing the theme of democracy and activism, Activist Songbook will release a new virtual choir inspired by a high school student fighting anti-Asian violence, and we'll build a better city together in the virtual world of Minecraft. And, gather around the dinner table for an Italian feast, take a gallery tour, book an artist, take a storytelling workshop—and more!
