DJ Fire

Hailing from Stratford, CT by way of Old Harbor, St. Catherine Jamaica, Tafari "DJ Fire" Turner is building his empire to take over the Tri-State area and beyond. Having worked with the likes of A Boogie with Da Hoodie, Sage the Gemini, Bryson Tiller, Dej Loaf, Davido, Dexta Daps, Masicka, Jeremih and many more. 

He’s obtained his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Southern CT State University, and became their go-to DJ for an array of events. Because of his skills, he has exposed many different college communities to multiple genres of music, from Kompa, Zouk, Dancehall, Soca, Salsa, Samba and African beats. Taking his talents out of state, he has played for multiple colleges on the east coast, and won the Florida Caribbean Student Assocation conference DJ competition two years in a row, and made such an impact, that he was invited a third time as a guest DJ! 

His musical agility has given him bookings including but not limited to, concerts, parties, weddings, sweet sixteens, black tie events, and so much more. 

A recipient of the 2017 Caribbean American Heritage Month 30 under 30, this proud Jamaican can be found most Saturdays on  Tambourine Radio online and has made appearances on smileJamaica TV as guest DJ. DJ Fire has recently graduated with his master degree in Business Administration and is building his company Fires Elite Entertainment & Lighting LLC. 

The Tines

The Tines are a new outfit helmed by New Haven Connecticut’s S.G. Carlson.The band was formed as a recording project in late 2019 featuring members of Ports of Spain, Laundry Day, Quiet Giant, and Ryxno. They explore a fascination with the mundane, the grandiose, and good and bad uses of time. In the course of his young career S.G. Carlson has performed with the likes of Andy Shauf, Michael Nau, Vetiver, Erin Durant, The Suitcase Junket, Christopher Paul Stelling, Brook Pridemore, Frontier Ruckus, Jake McKelvie, and Sean Rowe.

The sound of The Tines has been sharpened to a point over the course of two self produced S.G. Carlson records beginning with the widely cast net of Sing The Hits (2020). The Enemy Is Listening was released the same year on the freshly formed Free As Birds Records, owned by Alex Burnet of Laundry Day. Now fully formed, The band are embarking on their first album as The Tines.

Dawn Tallman

Dawn Tallman, The Queen of Gospel Energy was born and raised in Danbury, Connecticut, where she began singing in the house of God from childhood. Later, she expanded her body of work into the R&B and Dance scenes. Dawn's voice and style have been compared to those of many great vocalists, like Chaka Khan, Karen Wheeler and Oleta Adams, yet her style is completely & audibly her own. Dawn has recently performed at SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST, the nation's premier live music event with her electrifying show, 'House Unplugged with Dawn Tallman and Friends.' This show also enjoyed a SOLD OUT night at the Apollo Music Cafe in the world famous Apollo Theater, Harlem, NY.

She has scored Billboard chart success with Bob Sinclar on the #1 international hit, FEEL THE VIBE and won the International Dance Music Award (IDMA) for Best House/Garage/Deep House Track. Her own rendition of the 80's Womack & Womack track TEARDROPS scored a top 10 Billboard Dance position. Dawn’s long awaited full length album entitled FOR ME is produced by Honeycomb Music boss Josh Milan. Dawn has toured throughout the EU and appeared before 200,000 in Milan for Radio Italia Live performing FEEL THE VIBE with Bob Sinclair. Clubs and Radio were the focus which surely helped to secure their #1 result and a Gold Record for sales. She also collaborates with Chris "Big Dog" Davis and a variety of other musicians. She is not to be missed!
