New Benefit for Festival Members: Discount to Lincoln Center Festival's Emanuel Gat Dance

The International Festival of Arts & Ideas has just added a new benefit for all 2009 Members: a 25% discount to Lincoln Center Festival's Emanuel Gat Dance, July 16 and 17 in the Rose Theater.

Known for his intoxicating sensuousness and outstanding musicality, Emanuel Gat reteams with Roy Assaf for the New York premiere of Winter Variations, a response to their critically-acclaimed duet Winter Voyage (Lincoln Center Festival 2006). This work is followed by the North American premiere of Silent Ballet, danced by the full company.

Jason Steigerwalt To Sing The Role Of "Sailor" At "Dido & Aeneas"

At an audition in New Haven on Tuesday, Mark Morris selected Jason Steigerwalt, a member of the chorus directed by Bradley Naylor, to sing the role of the "Sailor" during the performances of Dido & Aeneas tonight and Friday. The other featured singers are sopranos Leena Chopra and Yulia van Doren,mezzo-soprano Katherine Growdon, and baritone Thomas Meglioranza.
