Stories change hearts and minds. They change cultures. They change organizations. People want to connect to a cause, but if they can’t understand a clear story, they can’t make a connection. Or a commitment. The ability to tell a story is key to change, but a story that inspires must have a few elements, including the why, and the risk/benefit and reward. It must also contain an element of vulnerability. And while all of this is necessary, basic storytelling principles must be still be applied.
